One incredible Year in Pictures - Part I

December 2010 - Happy New Year!

Hey guys, so we finally arrived at the end of a wonderful year and I can truly say that this was the best year of my life! Moving to New York City was the best decision I ever made and it was definitely worth leaving home. One year Big Apple - a year loaded with happy memories! During the past 12 months I've experienced and seen more incredible things than ever before. Everything I did was only amazing because I experienced it with the two most important, adorable, impressive and marvelous persons in my life - my sister Nina and my best friend Yasemin. Thank you so much for making my life so special and always being there for me! With you by my side, I can do anything!
Never would I have thought that I would be so enchanted by this city - that such a lot of amazing experiences would expect me here. During this year I've met remarkable personalities and famous celebrities, saw beautiful landscapes and fascinating architecture, attended crazy fashion events - still unbelievable - the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show last month, went to summer parties in the Hamptons and petted a dolphin. I enjoyed awesome vacations in San Diego and Los Angeles, had a blast partying in Las Vegas, climbed up huge mountains upstate New York, marvelled at the city from the top of the Empire State Building and the Rockefeller Center and went on a wild ride on a speedboat around Manhattan. I met insane people at train stations and even crazier ones in the clubs, I watched my favorite movie "Breakfast at Tiffany's" open air with the Manhattan skyline as a backdrop, I was run over by a bike on the Brooklyn Bridge, crashed into train doors on the subway and met homeless people who even denied the food I wanted to give them!  :-D
New York, my heart, I love you so much!

To Holly from Pauly Baby with Love

Dear Tiffany-Lovers, this post is dedicated to all of you! Have a look at this year's marvelous decorations such as carrousels, a sleigh full of Tiffany boxes and other Manhattan scenes. Since Tiffany & Co. presents glamour, sparkling little treasures, elegance and of course the location of my favorite movie "Breakfast at Tiffany's" it's one of my favorite stores. If you share my love for this fabulous jewelry store, you will hopefully enjoy this post! I found the last four pics on my best friend Yasemin's tumblr blog, check it out... I'm sure you'll love it! http://yandthecity.tumblr.com/

Manhattan Magic

Guys, you can't believe how much I missed grabbing my camera and heading to the city all by myself, haven't done that in a long time, just my camera and me - strolling through Manhattan alone, breathing in the abnormally warm December air and taking the greatest shots ever of all the fantastic Christmas ornaments on the streets and the stunning decorations at Bergdorf, Tiffany and Saks on Fifth Avenue (these stores just outdo one another each single year - they always blow my mind) !
I love these shots, I love my camera, I love Manhattan, I love Christmas in NYC and I love the shop windows at Bergdorf (you will see why)! For now lean back and enjoy my pictures of the Christmas decorations at Rockefeller and on Fifth Avenue. Have a good night!

Russia, ja ljublju tebja

Москва - я тебя люблю (Moscow, I love you) !
I unfortunately have to admit that I've never been to this magical looking city, even though it always attracted me because of its beauty, art and glamour. I somehow developed  true love to Russia over the past years - thanks to my numerous Russian friends ;-) I adore the country's traditions, culture, language and especially the food (Pelmeni, Plombir and Russian shashlik -  yummy). Plus also... the Russian DJs have a fantastic sense of house music! Hopefully I'll get to see this glamorous city one day with my own eyes. Take a look at all these wonderful dolls (Matroshki, which I also collect) and the gorgeous Kremlin. I also posted some videos of my favorite Russian songs. Enjoy! до скорого

Miracles on Fifth Avenue

As promised, here are the amazing shots I took of the world renowned Christmas shop windows at Bergdorf Goodman and Saks Fifth Avenue etc. This year the decorations and dresses at Bergdorf entitled 'Carnival of the Animals' just blew my mind (last year Saks was my favorite)! They let you escape to a different world - a world of magical creatures, beautiful gowns and pure glamour. I couldn't believe how incredibly detailed the decorators worked, I had the feeling that each single window was made up of thousand little pieces - figures, jewels, pearls, animals and of course the gorgeous outfits! Further down Fifth Avenue you could admire the amazing windows at Saks, where I spotted a meerkat, my favorite animals ;-) That was a big plus for Saks! Their collection of beautiful gowns was called 'Land of the Bubblemakers'. What I love most about Saks' Christmas windows is the great Christmas music that comes with it, which you can hear all over the block! Hope you feel the glamour!

My favorite window this year!
I'm so obsessed with this shot, isn't it just amazing?
