The Dreams we have, the Love we share, this is what we're waiting for

The Dream hotel in Meatpacking lives up to its name as one of the most desirable spots to party at in Manhattan. I always love hanging out there when I'm in New York, not only because of the fabulous crowd having a blast but also because of the stunning view from the hotel's rooftop bar PH-D. Just a couple weeks ago I met the beyond gorgeous Cara Delevingne there, I suppose that pretty much says it all. Partying with the most fashionable partygoers in view of the Empire State, what else could I wish for?
PS: Check out the fantastic pictures I took at PH-D last summer by clicking here!

Stairway to Heaven

And here we go again, another set of photos I took in my favorite Brooklyn neighborhood, Williamsburg! Now that I'm sitting here in Germany again, I can barely express how much I miss New York, especially when I look at these pictures! Germany is actually not too bad - like I said, I'm trying to keep myself as busy as I can until I can eventually start studying in fall. However, when I see these pictures I reminisce about the fantastic time I had in the Big Apple after I went back there at the end of February.
I can imagine that many of you have seen this kind of fire escape before, for example in my favorite movie "Breakfast at Tiffany's" - click the video below. I always wanted to sit on one of these escapes after I saw the famous movie scene in which Audrey Hepburn sings so gracefully. Two years later I did, these pictures were taken at my boyfriend's apartment who's lucky to have such a wonderful view from his window! I simply loved hanging out there with him... talking, relaxing and watching the people on the streets,  it was more than easy for us to forget the time!

The oh so fabulous Long Island Beaches

Ladies and gentlemen, a couple of weeks ago I went to the beach. Yes, the beach. A fabulous beach. In March, in winter. On Long Island.
I simply love this part of New York State, anytime I come to Long Island I'm automatically super relaxed.
Back in Germany I just got off work and have to take some pictures of my sisters now... family shooting ;) I promise you will get to see them soon, I also got so many more shots of my experiences in New York. For now, escape to the beach with me!

This is where the Harlem Shake comes from

It's Sunday... and I don't really have much to do, which is very unusual for my Sundays! Other than blogging and working out, I've been spending the day in bed trying to figure out what to do with my life. Believe me, guys, there's nothing to do in my German hometown, NOTHING! When I look out of the window I see nature and houses and that's it. There's not a single person on the street showing me that there are people living here. So it's time for a new post, a post about New York City which seems like a place sooo far away, so out of reach right now even though it's been only a week since I left the Big Apple.
However, New York lives in my memory AND my blog. I hope you enjoy these pictures of Harlem, the notorious but fabulous neighborhood in the northern section of Manhattan, and I can tell: I loved this neighborhood! Not only because it's mainly African-American and therefore culturally very diverse but also because you can feel the vibes of this culture throughout the whole neighborhood.
Harlem Shakers, here we go!

Escaping Manhattan's Hustle and Bustle

Hey guys, you might have noticed that I have more time to post now since I am back in Germany and there's not really much to do here to be honest. Except for going on motorcycle rides with my dad and partying at the weekend, my life consists of working, blogging and getting in shape lately. Thus you get to see more posts of the fabulous time I spent in NYC. My friend Nele from itsnotlogicitslove and I took some time off to escape to Roosevelt Island, a wonderful gateaway that couldn't be closer to Manhattan - just cross the East River with the tram. The first time I went to that island it blew my mind, the views of the skyline are stunning from there (check it out here). My New Yorker life has been pretty hectic the last few weeks so I needed some downtime. Do the same, sit back, relax and enjoy the pics!

The New Museum Experience

Hey guys, I apologize for overwhelming you with arty pictures but I just can't stop! I went to so many cool museums and art exhibitions while I was in NYC that I felt need to be shared with you. I'm pretty sure some of you read my blog due to the cultural input thus I always try to feed your creative minds and fill them with new ideas.
This time you get to see some shots I took at one of the Big Apple's most famous delis, Katz's Delicatessen, where we went to eat their fabulous sandwiches before checking out the New Museum on Manhattan's edgy Lower East Side. I can't believe how many art pieces I saw which challenged societal norms and revealed the dark side of mankind. There was a number of paintings and sculptures I took photos of that I couldn't post on my blog cause they were kind of, well, disturbing... you know, naked people, drugs, violent pictures or things you just don't talk about. The only uncommon picture I felt I could post without leaving you mentally disturbed is the eighth picture which shows a Puerto Rican murder scene on display. However, for me as a hardcore kid it was more than interesting and also challenging to understand these pieces and the thought behind it, I simply loved it! There were quite a lot of samples though that I could definitely release to the public, so check out these wonderful pics!
