Mexico Diary - Sandos Cancun Lifestyle Resort

Hey my dear readers, today you get to see the last post of our Mexico trip. It's a little sad for me because I really liked showing you all the places we've been to but I'm also looking forward to posting about my life on Mallorca and more recent events again.

We spent the last two days of our trip in Cancún, one of them at the luxury Sandos Cancun Lifestyle Resort where we probably spent the most relaxing hours of our trip. The hotel manager Matthias, who happens to be my boyfriend's friend, invited us to stay for a day and we got really spoilt. We arrived early in the morning on our last day and started with a delicious breakfast at one of the the hotel's restaurants called Zango. I was literally in food heaven, they had all kinds of pastries, fruits, cereal, bread, hearty stuff like eggs, bacon and potatoes, smoothies, fresh juices and so much more! A real dream come true for a foodie like me, haha. After enjoying our breakfast we spent a few relaxing hours by the pool where Matthias had reserved us a balinese bed so we could sip our cocktails, read, relax and enjoy the ocean view in the shade. The hotel has three huge infinity pools with sea view and several terraces on different levels with direct access to the beautiful beach of Cancún. We enjoyed our time not doing anything but relaxing until we got picked up by the hotel manager for lunch. We had tasty, authentic Mexican food at the hotel's beach bar St.Trop and spent all afternoon chatting and laughing with Miguel's friend, the manager. Later at night we met him again for dinner after changing in our hotel room (which was beyond elegant and cozy with the most comfy bed ever). He took us to one of the hotel's restaurants called Seasons where we spent all evening until almost midnight. I had a yummy salad and salmon for dinner plus a tasty combo of three different desserts including crème brûlée. Thank you so much, Matthias, for this relaxing last day and treating us so well, our Mexico trip couldn't have ended better!

And thank you, Miguel my love, for exploring another country and spending three unforgettable, adventurous weeks with me! Thank you for comforting me when my phone got robbed, for giving me your warm clothes and cuddling with me when I was cold in the night buses. Thank you for spending endless hot hours in the blazing sun with me exploring Mayan ruins, cenotes and the Mexican mountains, beaches and cities. Thank you for searching food with me at night when I got hungry and simply for being the best boyfriend and travel buddy! I can't wait to go on the next adventure with you!
