One day in Sineu

Hey guys, it's my second week on Mallorca and so far my summer's going great. Hope so does yours!
Today I'm taking you to a little town on the island called Sineu. This post might not be the most interesting one for those who don't travel to Mallorca but I hope you'll still like it. I put together a short guide of the places my boyfriend and I have been to when we went to Sineu, so let's start!
Kick off your day in Sineu with a tasty breakfast. For those with a sweet tooth the traditional bakery Forn Ca'n Toni offers a great variety of delicious pastries and sweets. Try the typical Majorcan ensaimada with hot chocolate. Then go buy some fresh fruit, cheese and other Majorcan products at Sineu's weekly market that takes place every Wednesday. Chat with the locals, farmers and other visitors. It's one of the most traditional markets on Mallorca and the only one with living animals. Take a stroll through the city centre and find some treasures at Sineu's local shops. Get an original t-shirt at Mosquito & Co. or some unique pieces at Lady Marmalade located in the Calle Mayor.
Later head to Sa Plaça to watch the village life while enjoying some authentic Majorcan ice cream, coffee or snacks like crêpes or baguettes at Sa Gelateria. Don't miss the almond or orange granizado made with natural ingredients, so refreshing!

Have lunch or dinner in one of Sineu's most famous wine cellars, the Celler Can Font. Its history of more than 700 years makes it one of the oldest wine cellars on the island. If you prefer italian food instead head over to Tomassini, where they serve original pizzas and pasta. Thanks to its feel-good atmosphere and its high quality italian food it became one of the most popular pizzerias on the island.

As an art lover you should visit Ricardo Gago's impressive gallery and art shop called Can Gili. If you ask nicely he may let you visit his private art studio where all the magic happens. Let him tell you stories about his colorful paintings and detailed sculptures and buy some art pieces or prints for your loved ones at home. You might also like to visit other galleries in Sineu such as Cati Gelabert Niell or Art Sineu. Then go for a walk, take your time exploring the village's small cobble stone streets and old buildings such as the church Nuestra Señora de los Àngeles.

For lunch we chose to the Majorcan restaurant Sa Pamboleria de Sineu for a tasty 3-course menu. It's located in an old mill that was turned into a restaurant in 2009. A charming place with attention to detail and a great variety of Majorcan dishes. I got some veggie puree and calamary, so delicious. Hope you liked my city guide! xo

Back on the Island

Hey there, summer lovers! I'm finally back on my beloved island, Mallorca. I'm gonna spend all summer here with my boyfriend. My sister also came with me and the other day we went to Pollença, a charming town in the north of Mallorca, and took some photos there. Part of my family lives there so I always love coming back to Pollença. It's crazy hot these days on Mallorca so you can't do anything but wear shorts, light dresses and tops and stay at home until afternoon because the sun's way too hot! So the next few weeks you'll get to see more outfit and travel photos of and from Mallorca. Hope you like these ones! xo

What I study

Hey guys, I know it's been a while since you last heard from me. I simply didn't have the time to think about my blog lately. I'm done with my exams and projects, so I'm a little more relaxed now. Since this was my last semester that I had classes and exams I thought I'd write a post about my studies for you guys. Many of you have asked me what I'm studying and some of you are also graduating this summer so this might be an interesting post for you.
So what am I studying? 'Something with media' is the answer you'll hear most when it comes to my studies. I'm a multimedia production student. Means, I have a lot of different classes that have to do with media. We have production or film making classes, science classes, business classes and other creative ones. To give you some examples, I had public relations and marketing classes, media ethics and law, graphic and web design, 3D animation, film making, journalism and many more. As you can see my classes are very diverse and I love this variety. It never gets boring and my studies are very practical because we don't just write exams but also have to do projects like design websites, produce our own movies or make magazines. So we also gain a lot of practical and social skills like organization and work discipline. During the last couple of years I got the experience to get to know many different parts of the media world. There were classes I didn't like so much like IT and web design, and other classes I really loved like journalism, media ethics or movie production. It's a lot of computer work which can be tiring sometimes but you also get to do a lot of work in teams and outside so that's fine.
I study at the University of Applied Sciences in Kiel in the north of Germany and I can totally recommend it! The professors are (mostly) super nice and helpful, the atmosphere is really relaxed and intimate, the students are creative and laid-back, the buildings are modern and the campus is also nice. I never really became a big fan of the city Kiel though but maybe that's because I'm never really there for longer than a month. Anyway, I would always choose to study multimedia production there again.
Hope this post was helpful and interesting for you and that I could give you an insight into my studies with the help of the text and photos. If you are German and looking for some media studies or if you're from elsewhere and consider studying something that has to do with media in Germany, feel free to ask me more :-)

Summer with Soravit

Hey there, guys. Sorry for being so aloof lately, I'm in the middle of my exams and don't really have much time to post lately. However, today I have some new photos for you of a shooting I had last summer with Soravit Boom Lertphiphat, a fantastic photographer, on Mallorca. We spent almost an entire day together shooting at the beach and my boyfriend's apartment and had such a great time. Soravit surely is one of my photographers, he's so fun and easy-going and on top of that very talented. Well, there's not really much more to say. Hope you like the pics ;-)

Feel free to follow Soravit and his amazing work on Instagram or Facebook!
