Where them girls at?

I have no idea why, but for some reason the best parties in NYC start (and end) at Tenjune, our beloved nightclub in Meatpacking! This time we decided to go out both Friday and Saturday, pretty rare but it happens ;-) We had such a blast and I asked myself...damn, did I choose the wrong career?
Ok, I don't think I did to be honest. I like my job and love my blog - fashion, writing and creativity.
However, maybe I should have a friend teach me some promoting at clubs. Professional female promoters probably own 1,500 pairs of shoes! Excuse me but... that is bananas!
Enjoy the pics and check out the video, one of my favorite songs!

Saturday night at Marquee in Chelsea and, well, Tenjune again  ;-)

Enchanted by the Magic Gardens

Without a doubt - BREATHTAKING is the only appropriate word to describe this place we discovered in Philadelphia! Welcome to the Magic Gardens - the most impressive and aesthetic place in the city.
After visiting some historic landmarks in Philly we decided to explore something totally different - thus we landed in the Gardens, a mosaicked art environment created by the artist Isaiah Zagar.
The uniqueness and details of this huge artwork blew my mind the minute I stepped in. We were lead into fully tiled indoor spaces and a massive outdoor mosaic sculpture garden. Finding myself among statues, bicycle wheels, colorful glass bottles and hundreds of glittering mirrors, I was truly astonished and more than impressed by this overwhelming piece of art!
My opinion about "Philly": A gorgeous, diverse city with loads of aesthetic and impressive buildings in a cool, laid-back atmosphere that reigns the city. The trip was a great chance to escape the big city life in New York but I honestly missed the crowds of people, the always present noises and the skyscrapers. I guess the Big Apple will always keep my heart ;-)

Heading to the Old City

Next stop in Philadelphia - the Old City. And I ask myself: Did I just leave the USA? Elfreth's Alley - Philadelphia's oldest residential street - totally reminds me of Germany or the Netherlands, I just can't help it. The historic cobblestones, tiny houses and colorful front-doors make this street a beautiful and cozy place - feels like home.
But our trip doesn't end here, back in Center City you can admire cute, tiny cupcake stores or brightly colored treasures on the gray streets!

We love Philadelphia

To kick off the photo series about our trip to the gorgeous city Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, here are some first pictures we took visiting the famous Liberty Bell, Philly's City Hall and more. I know I completely look like a tourist but you know what? I actually enjoyed doing some sightseeing with my friends since we never do it in New York City ;-)  Enjoy!

Dirty Laundry

Hey guys, since I went on a trip to Philadelphia over the weekend I wasn't able to post anything new... sorry for that! However, I promise there will be a couple of great posts about my trip including some shots of a magic place I discovered in this city!
For now enjoy the ultra-glamorous gowns in these shots of Lily Donaldson, Gemma Ward and Caroline Trentini photographed by Steven Meisel for Vogue US in 2005!

An undeniably awesome City

"I decided very early just to accept life unconditionally; I never expected it to do anything special for me, yet I seemed to accomplish far more than I had ever hoped. Most of the time it just happened to me without me ever seeking it" - Audrey Hepburn

I just noticed that I haven't posted pictures of the marvelous city I live in in a long time - even though there are such a lot of amazing things to take photos of! So take a look at these great shots I took of the Flatiron Building, the famous Apple store on Fifth Avenue, creative coke bottles, a super cute puppy and more!
