Oh, those New Yorker Party Nights - Part I

Hey there, it's Friday, woohoo! Since I'm gonna post some photos of my New Yorker past that you haven't seen yet next week, I thought a party post might be a great idea. During the two years that I lived in NYC, my girls and I went out so much, wearing different dresses and glam outfits every night, that I'm sure you would love to see. When I went back to New York last month, people told me that some of the clubs we used to hang out at are closed now. I felt kinda sad and my New Yorker past never felt so "far away"! So many fun weekends, unforgettable nights, incredible people and awesome music...
Clubbing in New York hasn't changed much to be honest. You can still party with celebs (such as Leonardo DiCaprio and Paris Hilton who we met), there are still promoters who drag you to their tables and pour champagne BUT there are a lot more au pairs at the clubs now, haha!
I really enjoyed being back and hanging out with my New Yorker friends again in September. So with this post and the next one I'm paying homage to all our crazy, fantastic, memorable Manhattan party nights in our sexiest dresses and highest heels - cheers!

Big Apple Shots

Hey my lovely readers, today I leave you a post filled with lots of Big Apple shots that I collected over the last few years while I lived in New York City. During my "imaginary photographer career" many people told me that I got an eye for details, and this post shows that pretty well, I'd say. You know, when I'm walking through the city the weirdest things catch my attention - stickers on walls, scooters adorned with sequins, scissors on trees and coffins on the street! Coffins? You heard me right, in NYC anything is possible - people put the most awkward things in the weirdest places.
I took these pictures during one of my infamous "photo tours" through the city. Participants: Just me and my cam... well and my eye for details. I didn't even own a SLR camera back then, just a regular digital cam, and still managed to take pretty unusual pics.

Hope you get the chance to check out New York City's unique vibes yourself some day (that means if you're not already a lucky New Yorker citizen). Enjoy the pics ;-)

Art and the City

Hello there and happy Monday! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend!
I finally took the time to prepare all New Yorker posts with the photos I had left from the past years. Plus, I got my school stuff together and also organized a shooting for Wednesday, trying to fill my "sedcard" with loads of different shots ;-)
Today you get to see some photos of my trip to NYC in September. That day we checked out a really cool art exhibition at the Whitney Museum of American Art. The pieces by Jeff Koons highly impressed me. I totally fell in love with his comic-like, colorful paintings and modern sculptures, such as a huge Play-Doh pile and his famous balloon dog. You all know I'm a huge fan of art so I was very happy when a friend recommended us the exhibition that just ended last week. I also met the beautiful Aimee Song of Song Of Style at the museum, what a pleasure bumping into this pretty lady and amazing blogger!
After our cultural experience, my girls and I decided to walk down the Upper East Side and take a stroll through Central Park. I hope you like the pics ;-)
