Mallorca Mar i Muntanya Coffee Table Book

My dear readers, I hope you are all doing well and are getting back to your 'normal' life bit by bit. Since we are currently not allowed to travel I'll bring you a little closer to our island today through a short presentation of the beautiful coffee table book Mallorca – Mar i Muntanya that I have been gifted.

About the Book

Awarded the German Photo Book Prize 19|20 as gold winner in the coffee table books category, the high-quality photo book Mallorca – Mar i Muntanya takes you on a journey to the biggest Balearic island through beautiful photographs by Antonia and Alexander Feig. The two German photographers have managed to capture the pure and poetic essence of our island. What I love about their photo book is that it shows the traditional and cultural Mallorca far from tourist hotspots. Puristic food stills, epic landscapes, organic agriculture, impressive architecture, contemporary street photography and portraits of Mallorcans who represent the island, fill the large-format, 264-page book. As its subtitle "Images, Thoughts and Recipes" states, the book comprises captivating pictures, narrative texts and recipes.

What most stands out and adds a personal touch are the encounters with protagonists such as María Solivellas, a culinary genius of Mallorcan cuisine and chef of the Ca Na Toneta restaurant in Caimari. You will also learn more about Tomeu Llabrés, who grows local grape varieties in Binissalem, and the political and cultural influence of the island on the works of the Palma artist Albert Pinya.

Furthermore, you can experience Mediterranean moments of indulgence while cooking the island's typical recipes, which can be found throughout the five chapters of this illustrated book alongside puristic food photos. You are invited to try the typical coca pastry or traditional almond cake Gató among others. The book also includes a unique map of the island, hand-illustrated by the graphic designer Sandra Kubitza.

Mallorca – Mar i Muntanya is mainly written in German but for international readers there is a chapter with a translation section in English. The turquoise-colored, decorative book makes a great eyecatcher on your coffee table and brings maritime lifestyle into your home. It is available in German bookstores, on Amazon and on the website El Mallorquín, which promotes the sale of products from the island in Germany, as well as in the center of Palma at Rialto Living (C/Sant Feliu, 3).

I was so happy when Antonia and Alexander sent me the book because you all know how much I love my Mallorca and also cooking. I have a big collection of coffee table books at home and this beautiful book is a great addition. If you know anyone who adores Mallorca as much as I do or someone who likes to try Mediterranean recipes, Mallorca – Mar i Muntanya is a unique, high-quality gift for all fans of the island and the Mediterranean lifestyle.

Samsara Beach Club

Hey there my dear readers, I'm sorry you had to wait so long for the next post. I've had some visitors the last couple of weeks and didn't wanna spend  time with my laptop, hope you understand. My friend Paula from Germany came see us on the island and until today my family from New York was with me. I haven't seen them in three years so I wanted to enjoy every single minute with them! I loved having them here and showing them my new home.
So today I finally had some time to write a new post for you guys. About two weeks ago I got invited to Samsara Beach Club  which is owned by Garden Hotels and located at the stunning beach of Muro. The setting is just beautiful, my boyfriend and I had lunch right in front of the sea with amazing views over the bay of Alcudia. The beach club is the perfect spot for yummy and original food and drinks. We started with a strawberry mojito, Samsara cocktail, the salmon tartar and Samsara salad, all super delicious and fresh. I have never tried any kind of tartar and was pleasantly suprised by its unique taste. As a second course we chose the grilled octopus and red tuna which were both beyond amazing. I'm a big fan of seafood and fish so this was the perfect menu for me. However they also have hamburgers, pizza, pasta and more yummy dishes at Samsara. After indulging in our seafood we could hardly eat more so for dessert we only picked a white chocolate mousse which was just as delicious as all the other dishes we tried at the beach club. After finishing our lunch we were invited to relax on the beach club's balinese beds with a bottle of champagne and fresh fruit. This was the perfect way to end our day at Samsara Beach Club. I would definitely come back, the food was amazing and the waiters treated us so nicely and took great care of us. Hope you like the photos and whenever you come to Playa de Muro, don't forget to stop by Samsara Beach Club ;-)

Zaful Online Shop

Hey peeps, are you all having a great week so far? Mine is pretty relaxed, today I went to see Cala Fornells with my boyfriend, a beautiful place I'll tell you about soon, and I'm also working a lot on my blog.
So today's post is about an online store I got to know a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it, it's called Zaful. They have really nice clothes, accessories, swimwear and much more. I teamed up with Zaful and got the chance to pick some pieces I like. So the first one is this boho dress (click here) I really love. It's not just super comfy, I also love the color, print and its' cut (showing some leg, haha). The material is super soft and light and therefore perfect for hot summer days. The dress came with this cute hippie belt with feathers and I paired it with some boots I got at Mango a while ago.

I also picked a more elegant piece, a striped off-shoulder romper (click here). I love its summer colors, the cut and the pretty belt it came with. You can pair it with sandals for a beach look or heels and a clutch to wear it at night. I combined it with silver Call it Spring heels I got at Asos and a silver Even&Odd clutch I got at Zalando.

Last but not least, I picked some golden jewelry, I got a layered necklace (here), a cuff bracelet (here) and some boho style rings (here) with a moon, a cute elephant and other shapes.
All in all I have to say I'm really satisified with the Zaful customer service, my contact person was super nice and always responded within a day. The shipping only took four days, so that's a big plus since I live on an island and things take a while to get here, haha. In addition to that, they have a great selection of fashionable pieces at very reasonable prices. So stop by their online store and feel free to follow them on Instagram or Facebook. If you have any questions regarding their sizes, payment or return policy you can also check the Zaful Review page (here). Hope you liked the post, let me know what you think about the outfits!
