Sister Trip to London

Hello there, everyone! Today I have a new post for you about another exciting weekend trip I went on this past year. Two months ago, in November, my sisters and I went to London, one of my favorite cities in Europe and the whole world. I'm a huge London fan, it's so diverse and laid-back and at the same time elegant and sophisticated. I always enjoy coming to this city to explore new things and have visited it at least three times in the last few years (check out my other London posts here).

In November my older sister and I took our little sister with us for the first time. And she loved London as much as we do. While my sisters stayed from Thursday to Sunday I only had one entire day in the city because of work. But we surely made the best of it!

Sister Trip to London

We started our day in Notting Hill and on Portobello Road, which were crazily crowded that day. Later we headed back to our home in Shoreditch for lunch and spent the rest of the afternoon strolling our neighborhood. On my previous trips to London I never had enough time to explore Shoreditch so I was happy that we stayed there. I adore this neighborhood, there are so many cool shops, bars and restaurants (and also the greatest Bagel shop). The area reminds me a lot of Williamsburg in Brooklyn with all these hipsters, vintage stores and street art. London always makes me miss New York City somehow. Afterwards we had a coffee, well a yummy golden milk for me, at Exmouth Coffee Company, a super cozy café that makes great matcha and kurkuma lattes. My older sister booked us tickets for Sky Garden to see the sun set over London so we headed there around 4pm. I absolutely loved this place. Again, this rooftop reminded me a lot of the New Yorker rooftops with their stunning city views. From Sky Garden you can admire all parts and sights of London including the Tower Bridge, the Shard and St. Paul's Cathedral. After sunset we took the tube to Oxford and Carnaby Street where we just went for a walk admiring all the beautiful Christmas decoration and exploring some cool shops. For dinner we had some simple Mexican food at Chipotle. What can I say, we just miss Chipotle on Mallorca! It was a perfect end to our fun and exciting sister trip (the second one this year after Valencia).

I love traveling with my sisters and weekend trips are a perfect option to get away and disconnect for a while with friends or family. Have you been on any weekend trips this past year? Let me know, xo

Goodbye London

Hey there, so this is my last London post with lots of pics of our third day in the city.
We started our last day in Camden, one of my favorite places in London. I love all the unique shops, cafés and food stands you can find there. The Stables Market is a true shopping and gourmet paradise! We went for a stroll through the market and stopped by Miss Poppy Cakes for some yummy chai latte and hot chocolate and also had a fried Snickers bar at Crispy Candy which was super sweet and tasty!

During the afternoon we went for a walk in Chinatown and Soho where we had our favorite burritos at Chipotle. We also checked out Leicester Square and the beautiful Christmas decoration at Covent Garden. From there we went to one of the cutest cafés ever, Peggy Porschen. It's a pretty café and bakery where you can find freshly baked cupcakes, cookies and cakes or coffee and a selection of delicious teas. The café is a girl's dream, everything is pink and white and their Christmas decoration is just beautiful. We were lucky to get a table quickly, the café is cozy but small and gets crowded pretty fast. We tried the blueberry cupcake which was heavenly!

Before heading home to our hostel my friend wanted to check out the Winter Wonderland, a huge Christmas fair in Hyde Park. So we spent about an hour there before heading home. The Winter Wonderland is a mix of fair and Christmas market and there are lots of things to do for kids and grown-ups.
Well, that was our last day in the city. I would love to go visit London at least once a year since it's one of my favorite European cities. I haven't made any travel plans yet for next year so we'll see, maybe London will have me back soon! Have a wonderful Christmas weekend, everyone!
