A New Yorker Moment Part I

The city makes up for its hazards and its deficiencies by supplying its citizens with massive doses of a supplementary vitamin - the sense of belonging to something unique, cosmopolitan, mighty and unparalleled.

Savage Beauty - Pure Fascination

Breathtaking, impressive, dark, fabulous – Alexander McQueen, you are fantastic!
After visiting the Alexander McQueen exhibition 'Savage Beauty' at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, I'm literally speechless. How could this dark and remarkably creative personality create something so intensive, so fascinating, so disturbing – something so different? He completely changed my view of fashion. The title - 'Savage Beauty' – perfectly matches the exhibit's atmosphere, the dresses and costumes are amazingly beautiful and fierce at the same time. You could literally breath in McQueen's passion for designing! The Kate Moss hologram - Widows of Culloden, autumn/winter 2006–7 – left me speechless, its wordless beauty made me cry. Hats off, Mr. McQueen, you made my heart beat faster – you carried me to a different world!

In his own words: 'There is no way back for me now – I am going to take you on journeys you've never dreamed were possible' – A. McQueen
