Why so cold, Germany?

Hello there, how is everyone doing? I'm pretty good, most of my exams and projects are done and I'm already packing for my next trip to Mallorca! I'm gonna chill on my favorite island until the end of March but also booked a trip to Cuba with my boyfriend for March, woohoo, I'm super excited!!!
I can't wait to escape Germany... sorry, but it's been too long. The last time I was on Mallorca was in November and I gotta admit that I'm pretty proud of myself that I didn't get any winter depression here in my home country. It's just so dark and gray all day, I need some sunshine in my life!
So today you get to see some pics from my last trip to Berlin in January 2013 (check out the other Berlin posts here). I had a few pics left that I wanted to share with you because they're winter pics, plus I think they look kinda cool and give you some impressions of our capital. Have you been to Berlin yet or would love to go?
Hope you enjoy the photos, get ready for some tropical island pics that I'll be posting the next couple weeks ;-)

A New Yorker Moment Part III

THIS, my lovely readers, is one of my favorite New Yorker shots ever!
I took the photo you see above in March 2013 on the Roosevelt Island Tram hovering above the city. I was so overwhelmed with the peace in this photo when I took it. How calm and concentrated the little kid's staring out of the window - admiring the huge world in front of his eyes. When he caught me taking a photo of him he was confused at first but then smiling at me... Gosh, you should have seen this adorable smile!
I adore taking photos of people in and around Manhattan, you get to see the craziest things in New York. People running around with bats is a good example. This is part three of my "New Yorker Moment"-series, hope you enjoy it!

A New Yorker Moment Part II

Hey guys, you all know how much I adore taking photos of my beloved city New York and the adventures I have there. I suppose I'm pretty good at taking pictures of the most famous New Yorker buildings but also shots of tiny details on the streets that no one notices, such as stickers, graffitis or other ridiculously strange things - I once bumped into a coffin on the Lower East Side, not kidding!
However, I started loving a different kind of photography so much more when I received the most wonderful birthday present ever last year - my SLR camera. Boom, People photography has become my new passion! Capturing people interacting is simply more fulfilling than taking pictures of beautiful but inanimate buildings. Thus, you will get to see a lot more pictures of real New Yorkers!
I regularly get lost in capturing these unique moments, you know, when a girl is sitting in a cafĂ© on a beautiful day, enjoying the warm sunlight and reminiscing about all the wonderful things she has so far achieved in her life or maybe she is thinking about her glorious future (ok, maybe she doesn't reflect at all but just relaxes from a stressful day at her job instead).
New York City shelters so many different human beings - each person one-of-a-kind -  an endless number of expressive faces, casual or fashionable outfits, people leaving work, relaxing on the street or even getting their shoes cleaned (love the first picture). So many casual but also deep relationships in such a small space... relationships for the moment, for only a few minutes or for a lifetime! So many special moments to capture - this is NEW YORK!

I'm a Brooklyn Girl

Dear readers, today's post is about another burg - not one of the "fancy German castle" kind but about Williamsburg, my beloved neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York City! As you can see here, posing while waiting for the train is a daily thing for me :-D I simply love the wind in my hair when the train approaches the station and everytime I'm bored I'm thinking about how much fun it would be to try out how many times I can hop onto the track until the train finally comes (don't worry, I never tried that one)! Anyway, I know you're all craving for pictures of my recent Berlin trip but you have to wait a little (boosts the excitement, you know). So have fun looking at those marvelous Brooklyn pics!

One more Reason to love New York

On the occasion of the No Pants Subway Ride that took place last Sunday you get to see some hilarious pictures of last year's incredible ride in New York City. A night full of surprises, sexy panties, freezing legs and crazy people - one reason why I love the Big Apple!
What do you need to participate in that flashmob? A best friend, a wonderful sister if available, a warm coat, some hot lingerie and well, leave your pants at home!
