Heading westward to the Golden State - let the Magic begin
Hooray, I made it! I'm in California and that is AMAZING! Spending two weeks in San Diego after the long, cold New Yorker winter is truly marvelous and just what I needed. The city is more than beautiful - palm trees, sandy beaches, exotic flowers and the golden sun as far as the eye can see - a Californian dream! Enjoy ;-)

The Orchid Show on Broadway
Have a look at the beautiful orchids Yasemin and I saw at the Orchid Show on Broadway at the New York Botanical Garden. What a relaxed day far from Manhattan's gray buildings, tight streets, and crowded places (which can also be adorable).

Sparkling, colorful, lively - welcome to SoHo
Spending most of the time in Midtown gets quite boring after a while, so why not discover a new part of Manhattan? Yesterday the subway took me to SoHo, and oh hello! Who would have thought that Midtown is NOT the most lively part of the city. I fell in love with SoHo right away - the colors, the fancy and freaky shops (check out the Lush store and hey, this is an amazing Converse store, right?), the Chinese treasures at Pearl River Mart and on top of all that the absolutely cool crowd of people that seems to think of the SoHo streets as runways.
