Sa Calobra
Hey there, did you all have a great week? Mine was pretty exciting. I worked, went to Palma with my friends, celebrated my four year anniversay with my boyfriend and interviewed an amazingly talented artist yesterday for Look Mallorca, the magazine I'm also working for. I'm surely not getting bored on this island. Today I finally found some time to publish a new post for you guys.
You know I'm always showing you the most beautiful and exciting things to do on Mallorca, just like I did when I lived in New York City. So today I take you to Sa Calobra, an impressive spot hidden in the mountains of Mallorca. We went there a few weeks ago with our friends from Germany who we met in Costa Rica last year. They're both very adventurous so I thought this was a great place for them. I have been to Sa Calobra many times and always loved it. You have to pass a tunnel to get to the rocky beach and the stunning canyon that is called Torrent de Pareis. My boyfriend and I once did a five-hour hiking tour through the canyon, it was surely one of the most awesome things we've done on this island. This time we didn't go hiking but explored the area a little and had a Mediterranean picnic at the beach. Unfortunately it was still too cold to go swimming back then but the water looked incredible. After spending a few hours in Sa Calobra we went for some ice cream in Fornalutx, a tiny but charming mountain village and also had a coffee in the beautiful town of Soller.
Hope you like these photos, have a great weekend!

Into the Wild
My lovely readers, I hope you're all doing well enjoying this wonderful pre-summer weather no matter where you live! I'm still restless, got so many things to do, most of them being university projects. This semester we are designing a complete magazine on our own, we have a couple presentations in media law and also need to write a new script to synchronize a movie scene which takes like forever.
However, I'm trying to push in some time for my blog so please don't be upset if I can't answer your comments right away, I promise I'll reply to them all!
So today's post is a quite adventurous one. If you have followed my blog in the past, you know that I have a thing for adrenalin kicks and adventures in general. I looove to relax at the beach with a fantastic book and I do enjoy city trips very much but what really thrills me is the vast nature.
Luckily my family members are pretty much alike, so my aunt, who lives on Mallorca, organized a fabulous trip for us during my vacation - a five- hour hike through a wild canyon called the Torrent de Pareis.
Many adventurers come here, young couples, groups of hikers, to test their abilities and enjoy the absolutely breathtaking views of the canyon. Let me tell you, it's not as easily done as I thought, especially when you wear your beloved Converse like I did! I'd suggest you take a guy with you in case you decide to hike through the Torrent de Pareis because there are pretty huge rocks you can barely get over without a man's help. But you know what, it's definitely worth all the climbing and jumping and exhaustion - you get spoiled with a stunning scenery unfolding in front of your eyes, you get the kick out of jumping and conquering those darn rocks, plus you get rewarded with a wonderful target, the bay of Sa Calobra that astonishes you with crystal clear water and a magnificent view of the deep blue sea.
So if you're looking for a thrilling vacation make sure to explore the Torrent de Pareis! It surely is breathtaking in every sense of the word.
Enjoy the pics ;-)
PS: My aunt has this amazing company called Mallorca Friendly that offers wedding planning, hiking tours, canoeing, rock climbing and much more. Feel free to check out their website by clicking here.

I haven't been Everywhere, but it's on my List
Hey guys, to be honest I'm not really in the mood for writing much today, don't be mad, haha. I have been incredibly busy the last couple weeks with university stuff and moving so I don't have much time for my blog lately. I am also reading the third Dan Brown now, which is way more exciting than editing photos, forgive me.
Today you get to see some more vacation pictures, actually some snapshots of my favorite place on Mallorca - Sa Calobra. It's a wonderful bay hidden in the mountain range Serra de Tramuntana. My sister likes to call it "Jurassic Park" because for some reason she feels like taken back to ancient times whenever we come here due to the unspoiled nature. I simply love the mix of huge rocks, tiny lakes and the dried out riverbed of the Torrent de Pareis. This time we even met some swans, can you believe it? This is the most unusual animal I've ever seen on Mallorca, it's especially not one you would expect in the mountains.
Lean back and relax!

The happiest People don't have the best of Everything - they just make the best of Everything
Hey guys, maybe you've been wondering what my life looked like the last couple weeks. Since I went back to Mallorca it has been pretty entertaining - both relaxing and exciting - as you can imagine!
First of all, my friends and I had a fabulous time celebrating the Patrona of Pollença, a wonderfully crazy Mallorquin tradition, a festival that is celebrated every year at the beginning of August and includes pirates and Christians fighting against each other, that's totally my thing!
Furthermore I have been on two relaxing boat trips, explored my favorite place Sa Calobra a little more, hung out by the beach, did some diving, had a photo shooting, and so on... you know my life resembles a constant vacation at times ;-) Enjoy the black and white remix!
