Check out one of my favorite parks in Manhattan, the Highline. For me it's a green oasis right in the middle of the city. The park was built on a former elevated freight railroad spur which runs along the lower west side of Manhattan; it has been redesigned and planted as a greenway. Isn't it just a wonderful place to relax - by day AND night?
