Purobeach Opening

Hey guys, I'm finally back with a new post! My first week on Mallorca is over and to be honest, I didn't really have much time to fully enjoy it yet because I started working on Monday and also have to work on my bachelor thesis every day at least a bit. However, last Saturday I could fortunately attend the season opening party of the glamorous Purobeach. I was representing the magazine I'm working for, Look Mallorca, and my boyfriend accompanied me as my plus one. We had a fantastic night with some wine and delicious tapas enjoying a marvelous sunset. I love Purobeach, it's got that laid-back yet sophisticated style. It was the second time I visited the beach club that night (check out my other post about Purobeach) and I'll hopefully come back soon!

A Runway Dream come true - Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2011

At a time not too long ago and in a place that's not very far away - in fact, the place is Manhattan - I attended the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show... a dream come true, actually so true that I could barely catch my breath when the show was over! I simply love reminiscing about that very special night, the unforgettable moment I saw Miranda, Adriana, Candice, Alessandra, Lily, Lindsay and many more stunning models hovering above the runway, presenting the most beautiful, sparkling lingerie I've ever seen. My sexiest night ever included the most beautiful girls strutting in the heaviest wings, Adam Levine smooching with his then-girlfriend Anne V, Nicki Minaj singing her heart out to Super Bass, tons of  glittery balloons falling from the ceiling, and the fabulous Kanye West and Jay Z blowing my mind!
Get the inside scoop on all the wonderful things I experienced that night!

Fashion's Night Out - New York City

Dear fashion-loving readers, today is the day - this post is solely dedicated to fashion!
I unfortunately couldn't make it to last year's Fashion's Night Out thus it was definitely a must on my to do list for 2012! I am a big fan of fashion, even though I don't care much about designers (of course I have a few favorites though) or brands - it's more the artistic part of the fashion world that attracts me. Unlike last year I didn't go to any fashion shows this year, I didn't spy on the hottest streetstyles or celebrities around Lincoln Center and I didn't follow the latest trends. If you have been following my blog for a couple months already you know that I'm always being honest with the reviews of my experiences in this fabulous place called New York City. To make a long story short - Fashion's Night Out was the only Mercedes Benz Fashion Week event I attended this year...
...and let me tell you this - it was not the amazingly fantastic fashion paradise I expected!
My sister and I started our night in the Meatpacking District, watching Nicole Richie getting interviewed for QVC, and ourselves getting interviewed by E! News. Soon we headed to one of my favorite designers - the fabulous Alexander McQueen - for drinks amongst the famous skull scarves and picking cute pink envelopes from a "wonderwall" that contained prizes. So far so good... next we wanted to check out the DvF store around the corner but we didn't expect the huge crowd of people waiting for us, a line over 2 blocks in front of the store! I truly love fashion - but I'm not waiting for 2 hours to get into a store just to admire some ridiculously expensive clothes that I wouldn't buy anyway and get free drinks, no thanks!
After all we decided that we might have a better chance of experiencing an absolutely amazing fashion night in SoHo - lo and behold, even more insane fashionistas going crazy on the New Yorker streets! There was no way to get through or to reach any store, even the phone service broke down (too many people instagramming nowadays) so the only stores my sister and I checked out were Chanel and Free People which I loved most due to the face painting, photo booth and enchanting clothes they had!
All in all, it was an experience - it was great and also kind of overwhelming to see how many people follow this fashion craze! Nevertheless, I was very glad when I could sit down later and relax at the restaurant Catch in Meatpacking just to take a breath in view of Ed Westwick aka Chuck Bass from Gossip Girl, who was enjoying his dinner right next to us, cheers!

Barneys goes Gaga

Barneys has gone Gaga this holiday season!
In collaboration with Lady Gaga Barneys New York launched an unforgettable holiday extravaganza where you could find limited-edition Gaga goodies, from jewelry and clothes to candy and books to toys. I was so surprised by the variety of exclusive treasures you could find in the workshop - designed for and by Lady Gaga. Barneys transformed the entire 5th floor of their store at Madison Avenue into an utterly magical world. The vivid colors, bold patterns, and wildly imaginative art installations led me into Lady Gaga's mind-blowing, creative and fantastical world once I set foot into it. I'm so glad I got to enjoy this workshop since it only ran through January 2nd. I hope you love it as much as me!
